Goodbye Oklahoma!

Today was my last performance of Oklahoma at the Hult center, and it was a joyous yet sad day. The performance went really well. It is disappointing how just as our shows end, I start to really grasp my characters voice and belt. I am sad I do not have more performances to hone this skill. This show has given me so much to live for. I have made new and amazing friends, gained contacts within the theatre community, as well as confidence. I think that this, meaning theatre, is something I now believe in myself to go forward with. Whether or not everyone thought the show or I was Broadway worthy, I think with this experience I am at least one step closer to that big spotlight than I was before.

The cast party was fantastic. It was so nice to have my mom there with me, and she was so proud of me. We drank our first beer together ever and it was super fun. We both are Corona girls! It was sad to say goodbye to everyone, especially Matt, because I will get back from my trip to Cali the day before he leaves back to New York, but I am so blessed for the time I had with him and all the rest of the cast.

Now, off to Los Gatos with my best friend Kathleen for 10 days of sun, fun, and Leary family outings.

  1. I'm sad too, but I'll keep an eye out for you around eugene! Maybe we'll see each other in future shows :)
