Califor-NI-A
Kathleen and I are in Cali at the moment, well Santa Barbara to be exact. It has been a wild ride. We drove like 8 hours from Eugene to San Jose area, then th next day drove 5 hours to Santa Barbara. I love California. Although the landscape is somewhat fractured, due to forest fires, but it a lively place with really nice people. We are staying with Kathleen's sis and cousin Kimmy, and their 5 dogs. It is so much fun. I love the dogs, the beach, the yummy carrot apple juice that Kelly made for us this morning. Don't wanna leave...

Goodbye Oklahoma!
Today was my last performance of Oklahoma at the Hult center, and it was a joyous yet sad day. The performance went really well. It is disappointing how just as our shows end, I start to really grasp my characters voice and belt. I am sad I do not have more performances to hone this skill. This show has given me so much to live for. I have made new and amazing friends, gained contacts within the theatre community, as well as confidence. I think that this, meaning theatre, is something I now believe in myself to go forward with. Whether or not everyone thought the show or I was Broadway worthy, I think with this experience I am at least one step closer to that big spotlight than I was before.
The cast party was fantastic. It was so nice to have my mom there with me, and she was so proud of me. We drank our first beer together ever and it was super fun. We both are Corona girls! It was sad to say goodbye to everyone, especially Matt, because I will get back from my trip to Cali the day before he leaves back to New York, but I am so blessed for the time I had with him and all the rest of the cast.
Now, off to Los Gatos with my best friend Kathleen for 10 days of sun, fun, and Leary family outings.
